Toronto Shelter Occupancy Rate Analysis

December 2022

Toronto shelters currently report their occupancy rates per night. The report reflects the availability of beds or rooms, accounting for instances of unavailability due to unsafe conditions such as a broken bed. In this project, I added a feature to calculate the occupancy rate under optimal conditions, assuming all rooms or beds are available. This metric aims to provide another perspective on shelter capacity and occupancy, allowing for a clearer understanding of potential improvements and resource allocation.
